Daicel Corporation (hereinafter, Daicel) has decided today to conclude an agreement for the acquisition of all the issued shares of Polyplastics, a consolidated subsidiary of Daicel, which are held by Celanese Corporation (hereinafter, Celanese) through Celanese’s subsidiary, (hereinafter, this agreement) to make Polyplastics a wholly owned subsidiary of Daicel

Even after Polyplastics becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Daicel, it will not affect the relationship with our customers and business partners.

Through this agreement, we will aim for the further growth of Daicel Group’s engineering plastics business and its peripheral business.
